Arts and Culture in Gainesville
While football may stand foremost in the minds of many visitors to Gainesville, there's quite another side to our city—equally renowned among theater-goers, art-lovers and fans of culture in general. Whether it's cutting-edge visual art, traditional crafts, up-to-the-minute media collections or theatrical and dance performances of every genre, Gainesville gives its guests and residents a rich offering of art and culture of all kinds.
Stay Close to the Art Action
Gainesville is well known for its innovative Cultural Arts Coalition and Civic Media Center. Luckily our hotel's just a close drive away from these cultural destinations—both of which have been models for similar organizations all over the country. Additionally, our hotel's near enough the Micanopy Community Council for the Arts for a well-worth-it day trip, standing as it does in the same category as the Gainesville Cultural Arts Coalition and the Civic Media Center as a bastion of arts support and community organizing.
